Digital Birmingham were part of the steering group that helped to develop the West Midlands proposal as part of the winning ‘EIT Health’ (healthy living and active ageing) KIC, led through the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN). Digital Birmingham will now be involved in working closely with partners to progress how this develops to maximise opportunities for Birmingham City Council.
‘EIT Health’ is a consortium of more than 50 core partners and 90 associate partners from leading businesses, research centres and universities from across 14 EU countries. This announcement brings together huge investment of more than £2 Billion Euros over the next seven years with the West Midlands region playing an integral role within the consortium.
