The #50/50tech campaign aims to encourage technology leaders and event organisers to ensure gender balance at meetings, workshops, hack days, job fairs, events and conferences in the tech sectors.
Doteveryone are looking for start-ups based anywhere in the UK with at least one female co-founder seeking early-stage or seed funding to be a part of our first 5050tech Challenge which takes place on February 8th at Campus London.
The Challenge has two parts:
- Pitch Clinic on February 7th where twelve successful start-ups will receive a day of mentorship and training from industry leaders at Campus London
- Pitch Day & Showcase on February 8th where the start-ups will give a two minute pitch to a room of over 30 seed investors and VCs, followed by a hands-on informal showcase where they can demo their work.
To apply your business should be an internet-enabled technology company, across any vertical. We're looking for both for-profit or social enterprise start-ups from across the UK. Deadline for applications is noon 22nd January 2016. A shortlist of 25 startups will be announced on the 25th of January 2016 who will then be asked to submit a 2 minute pitch video by the 27th January 2016.
The final 12 will be announced on the 28th of January 2016 and invited to join us on the 7th and 8th February for the first 5050tech Challenge
