Digital Birmingham is a key partner in the Share-PSI 2.0 network. This activity of work is developing best practice, open standards and methods for cities across Europe to easily create and share open data. Open data is a key part of the Birmingham City Council Smart City roadmap and a fundamental need for a future prosperous City.
We attended the last formal meeting of the project which took place on 15-16 March 2016 in Zagreb, Croatia. The meeting provided the details of the scope and requirements for the development of the local open data guides which will be produced as a final output of the project. During the event we were able to share and exchange knowledge with over 30 different organisations across Europe helping to build up our expertise in the open data space. The event also enabled us to build a 3-way partnership with the Open Knowledge Forum and the Open Data Institute.
The final report and local guides will be available later this year.
