Mike Brooman, CEO of Innovation Birmingham Campus-based company, Vanti, has been crowned the winner of this year's Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) technology category.
BYPY is a prestigious award ceremony which recognises and rewards the most talented individuals in Birmingham's business community. The event, which was held on May 12 at the ICC, welcomed over a 1000 professionals from across the region, to celebrate the best professional talent across six categories including; Finance, HR, Recruitment and Training, Legal, Marketing and communications, Property and Construction and Technology.
Mike, who was announced as BYPY tech winner following an intensive application and interview process is CEO of Vanti - an international award-winning audio-visual and IT systems integration and managed services practice which works with clients to make the most of their existing or new technology. The company has made 11 appointments during the past 12 months, achieved an average growth of 32 per cent for the last three years and has secured a number of high-profile award wins including Most InAVative Corporate Facility at this year's inAVation Awards and an AV News Award for AV Project of the Year. They have also recently been awarded the £1.6 million audio-visual nfit-out for Birmingham City University's Conservatoire, which will run entirely on the very latest low-latency, network-based audio standards allowing students, educators and performers to play live with musicians from across the world, as well as route audio streams anywhere in the building.
They are one of 15 early-stage companies receiving support from Innovation Birmingham's e4f Inspire programme, which delivers a series of workshops, keynote events, entrepreneur dinners, off-site visits, funded internship/apprenticeship placements, and peer group sessions, in order to accelerate the growth of entrepreneurial tech companies.
