Big Data Corridor (BDC) is pleased to support ThingsCamp5.
ThingsCamp is an inclusive, open space event for people who want to explore the present and future of connected devices; it's a place for collaborative learning, discussion and making.
This fifth event brings us to Birmingham and this time we’re running two different events over two days. Find out more below.
Day 1: ThingsCamp
You're on the right page to book for ThingsCamp on Saturday June the 16th.
Saturday’s ThingsCamp will follow the open space format and is welcome to everyone (just like the previous events). If you’re new to ThingsCamp then this post will give you a good idea of what to expect.
Go to this Eventbrite page to find out more about ThingsCamp and book.
Day 2: ThingsCamp for Business
Book through this page to attend ThingsCamp for Business day on Tuesday June the 19th. Tuesday’s ThingsCamp for Business will follow the open space format, but with a particular focus on innovation with Internet of Things (IoT). We’d encourage you to attend the Saturday event before this one but you don’t need to.
As with all ThingsCamp events, ThingsCamp for Business will suit any level of experience. If you want to know more about the general format then this post will give you a good idea of what to expect. This business-focused event will give you ideas, solutions, hands-on experience and new connections to support your journey in IoT.
Big Data Corridor (BDC) is pleased to support ThingsCamp5. We are actively seeking Small to Medium Sized Enterprises in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership who want to innovate using Big Data. We are a European funded project comprised of a consortium of partners and can offer free support to you all we ask is your time and commitment to take advantage of our technical, research and commercial expertise.
BDC are especially keen to link with those of you who have that bright idea for “tomorrow’s world” and want to turn it into a reality today to beat the rest of the market. Tech UK predict £240bn growth in the UK economy by 2020, let’s bring some of that to this region.
If you have an idea for a new product or service we can assist you to develop it ready for market launch. Areas of specialism include education, transport, leisure and tourism, health, gas and environment and smart lighting. We will also adapt to meet your specialism; each SME has their own unique package of support. Get in touch with us at: https://bigdatacorridor.com/ and we will discuss your requirements and create your package of assistance.
Whether you come to one event or both it’s important to know that we work hard to make sure ThingsCamp is welcoming to everyone. If you have any questions at all please send us a message through this page, visit the ThingsCamp website or talk to us on Twitter. You can also add your name to our mailing list for updates on everything.
For ThingsCamp 5 we’re lucky to have some great supporters, including Birmingham City Council’s Big Data Corridor, Deft 153 and Rebel Labs. If you’d like to help out in any way please get in touch with us.
