Coding Brum Inventathon

Coding Brum and BBC Blue Room will be holding a week-long “inventathon” and it’s FREE! Working in teams, let your imagination run wild and see what you can develop around our themes. The sky’s the limit for your ideas and we’ve got a big stash of bits and bobs to help you. Then on Friday you can present your ideas to a panel of coding experts with prizes up for grabs. During the week you’ll also find out what happens behind the scenes at BBC Birmingham and how coding makes the BBC work!

We’ll have licenced chaperones throughout the week so parents won’t need to stay (but are very welcome). We’ll also have mentors on hand to guide you. You’ll need to bring a packed lunch every day.

This event is for those aged 8-16. To get the most out of the week, you’ll need to have at least a basic understanding of programming. Never done it before? The next Coding Brum meeting is taking place on 8th July 1300-1600 at BBC Birmingham.
