On Weds 16th June, we hosted an online event as part of Digital Leaders Week. Colleagues from across the council came together to present on digital transformation projects and initiatives they've been working on, enabling a positive difference to peoples lives.
Dr Peter Bishop, Director for Digital and Customer Service opened the talks with an overview of how the City Council has progressed since the 2014 Kerslake report and how collaboratively as a city, we have recognised our shortfalls but we continue to learn and evolve as we strive to deliver the best possible services to our citizens and workforce.
Other presentations included:
- Clearing the air! by Stephen Arnold, Head of Clean Air Zone
- Birmingham’s journey to hyper-converged hybrid cloud by Chris Nairn, APM Programme Manager
- Engaging in digital spaces - reflections from the Pandemic by Dr Justin Varney, Director of Public Health
We had over 80 attendees from across the UK (and some beyond) from public and private sector organisations, if you weren't able to join us, worry not, we have the video below.
