Complex Challenges Innovative Cities

Project timeframe: January 2012 - December 2014

CCIC is an INTERREG IV funded programme across 14 European partners across 10 countries. It aims to improve regional innovation policies by enhancing innovation in the public sector and increasing collaboration between local and regional authorities, public entities and other stakeholders.

CCIC methodology focuses specifically on the partners' experience in 5 themes:

  1. public finance for innovation
  2. public authorities as innovators and innovation stimulators
  3. public attitudes to innovation,
  4. public procurement to support innovation.
  5. local/regional blind-spots

It will enable partners to learn in depth from each others strengths and weaknesses, to identify key elements to be addressed in their regional context and innovation policy implementation plans.
