FoundryLIVE returns from 24–26 June 2025 at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. Across three days there will be a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge technologies. Join us for 1, 2 or all 3 to be part of something truly transformative.

Whether you’re a digital champion, service designer, developer, a student or just curious about how we can work smarter and deliver better outcomes — there’s something here for you.

Who should apply?

  • Students and postgraduates looking to gain real-world experience
  • Local authority teams from Birmingham and beyond working on service transformation and common problems
  • Public Sector and Central government colleagues driving innovation and policy delivery

Why it’s useful: You’ll learn tools and techniques that could save time, reduce manual work, or make services easier to use.

BUILD

What it is: Join a team and work on a real problem affecting services. No experience needed — just your knowledge and ideas.

Why it’s useful: You’ll get a chance to shape new ways of working and help fix things that aren’t working well.

INSPIRE

What it is: Talks and case studies from teams across the council and beyond, including keynote speaker Kara Kane from the Cabinet Office.

Why it’s useful: See how others are approaching change, share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), and pick up ideas to take back to your own team.
