This week, Digital Technology Services kicked off an exciting project with CDW and Cisco to explore the next generation of Wireless Access Point technology that will be rolled out across the council from 2026 through to 2027.

📡 The new solution will help deliver:

✅ Enhanced performance in larger buildings
✅ Greater reliability and capacity for colleagues and services
✅ A stronger foundation for future digital transformation

We also discussed the importance of conducting detailed wireless surveys across key buildings and selecting the right delivery partner to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.

This is the start of an exciting journey to modernise our wireless infrastructure and support the way we work for years to come.
